Fauna

Some sectors such as Espinhaço or Noiva has climbing restrictions due to the nesting of birds, namely the Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus); load capacities are defined for the remaining sectors, which can be consulted in the PNSC Carta Desporto Natureza.

Flora

There is a wide variety of plants on the slopes of Cabo da Roca, many threatened by the proliferation of the chorão-da-praia  (Carpobrotus edulis), an invasive plant native to South Africa.

Of note are two endemic species, the Cravo Romano - Armeria pseudoarmeria - classified as vulnerable and the Miosótis das Arribas (Omphalodes kuzinskyana) classified as endangered.
